FlightAware is excited to introduce our latest iOS widget update — your gateway to instantaneous ADS-B receiver metrics directly from your home screen.
What is a widget?
Mobile widgets offer users a convenient way to access important information and perform common tasks directly from their device's home screen, enhancing efficiency and usability in mobile interactions. FlightAware now has two new widgets to keep you up-to-date on your ADS-B positions and receiver status
Positions Reported Today Widget
Stay effortlessly up-to-date with the 'Positions Reported Today' widget. It provides a convenient count of all the aircraft positions your receivers have captured in the last 24 hours.
ADS-B Receiver Status Widget
The 'ADS-B Receiver Status' widget offers you seamless monitoring capabilities. A quick glance at your home screen informs you of the operational status of your ADS-B receivers. This immediate insight allows for prompt action.
Here’s how to get started:
- From the Home Screen, touch and hold a widget or an empty area until the apps jiggle.
- Tap the Add (+) button in the upper-left corner.
- Search FlightAware, which will bring up both widget options, swipe to scroll between the two options
- Select the widget you would like to add, choose a widget size, then tap Add Widget.
- Tap Done.
