FlightAware Blog Home    Aviation Stats Update: April 18, 2022

"Commercial aviation traffic in China has hit an all-time low, similar to where it was at the onset of the pandemic. China has been battling another spike in COVID-19 infections, which forced the biggest city-wide lockdown since March 2020. A few weeks ago, China Eastern, one of China's largest airlines, experienced a tragic accident that grounded more than 200 Boeing 737-800 planes, aiding in the 76% drop in commercial traffic from mid-February."
